Apartments
Commercial Premises
Year of Construction
This project was built in 2015, on an abandoned property located a few meters from the 10 de Agosto Municipal Farmers’ Market, one of the most important markets in the city. Its name pays homage to the old walnut tree located on the property, around which the concept of garden and paths revolves. Although, for many, the proximity to the market was a disadvantage, we saw it as an opportunity for the residents of the condominium who could live a unique cultural experience. We built 24 apartments interconnected by patios with beautiful gardens, terraces, and paths, which lead to the Barranco and fill the space with natural light and greenery. This housing complex offers a magical transition, as its access is located on a busy, congested, and noisy street, where the only large commercial premise is located. A small door then takes you through a narrow corridor in a quiet and harmonious environment, surrounded by beautiful native plant gardens. The walls were built with river stone and handmade bricks. From the communal terrace, the river, the mountains, and the modern city can be admired. Its residents can also enjoy these views from their private terraces.
